We have a run coming up in NYC at The Triad of 4 shows this month and next month and I am DEEP in stress mode about this run. It is always a big job to do a run in NYC because we don’t have the backing of our most excellent agent, Marc Baylin, and his stellar office staff to guide us through and take care of a lot of the nitty-gritty work. And so a lot of that falls to me, which is fine. It is. It is fine.
Ugh. It’s not fine!
There are the listings, the blasts, the emails, the casting, the scheduling of rehearsals, the coordination with the venue, the individual invite emails, the ticket codes, the pricing questions, the staffing, the prep of materials, etc.. The list goes on on and on and then eventually you die.
So why do we do it? Because it is just so damn fun to do our show for our NY audience. It is our home crowd and so many familiar faces as well as new ones. Performing in NYC is unlike performing anywhere else in the country. We treasure the opportunity and so we do the work.
Day in….
Day out…
Wanna make it all worth it? Come see the show on 5/17, 24, 31 & 6/7 at 7pm at The Triad. That way my death will not be in vain.
